Behesht Zahra Reception Upgraded with CT3066

Efficient Counter Intercom at Behesht Zahra

The two-way audio communication systems, also known as Cavac Counter intercom systems, have been upgraded at the reception windows of the Arujian Hall in Behesht Zahra Cemetery, Tehran.

To improve service quality at the Arujian Hall reception, the older and worn-out models of Cavac Counter intercom systems were replaced with the latest Cavac CT3066 model. After the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2019, the reception counters at Arujian Hall were considered one of the highest-risk areas for virus transmission. Since it was assumed that visitors might have a higher chance of being carriers, the management immediately equipped the reception counters with Cavac Counter intercom systems, models 2016 and 2080.

Over more than a decade that Cavac has been the first and only official importer of Counter intercom systems in Iran, the 2016 and 2080 models have proven to be among the best in the market. Even after about six years of operation in the high-traffic Arujian Hall, the 23 units installed remained fully functional without significant issues.

Why Upgrade to the CT3066 Model?

The outstanding features of the Cavac CT3066 two-way audio system were the main motivation for replacing the older models. Modern design, superior sound quality, a finger-touch control panel, hands-free headset connectivity, and pre-recorded welcome and farewell messages are some of the features that older models lacked.

The previous models, 2016 and 2080, were removed and immediately replaced with the CT3066. While there is not a huge qualitative difference between the older units—they were both among the most durable models—the new CT3066 features ultimately made both older models obsolete.

The CT3066 visitor unit is made of aluminum with a matte black electrostatic coating, offering both durability and aesthetic appeal. Its internal speaker design and installation technology are significantly advanced, ensuring vibration-free, clear, and noise-free audio. Most traditional counter intercom microphones are static and cannot pick up visitor voices beyond 30 centimeters. The CT3066 overcomes this limitation, capturing only the voice of the visitor directly in front of the counter while filtering out environmental noise for the staff.

Although over the past decade Cavac Counter intercom systems have been installed in many government and private centers, some visitors still fail to notice the visitor unit. To address this, Cavac designed a label which can be installed at each counter. Most visitors see the label and immediately realize that a two-way communication system is present, allowing them to communicate effortlessly with reception staff.

Key Considerations for Effective Counter Intercom Usage

Managers and business owners providing in-person services should pay attention to the following factors to maximize the performance of Counter intercom systems:

  • Standard lateral distance between counters.
  • Appropriate height of the protective glass—higher glass improves system performance.
  • Use of automatic queue management systems to control the number of visitors at each counter and reduce ambient noise.

Which Counter Intercom Model is the Best?

Currently, the Cavac CT3066 is the most advanced model in terms of technology, sound quality, design, and additional features. However, selecting the best model for your organization depends on several factors:

  • How many shifts do you serve visitors?
  • What is the height of the protective glass—does it extend to the ceiling or is it only about 50 cm high?
  • What is the lateral distance between your counters?
  • Do you use an automatic queue management system?
